Anyone taking advantage of this freebie besides me?

I received an E-mail from the Guitar Center saying that all of it's stores will be offering FREE uke lessons starting today, Saturday, September 29th until the end of October. The lessons start at 10:15 at our local Guitar Center. Today we learned to play Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" --
We had a great time. There were about 7 of us in the lesson group.

A word to the wise. Call Guitar Center and ask if the teacher is an actual ukulele player. I went, and the teacher was a guitar player with only 3 months of sporadic uke experience. He really did not know much about the uke.

Oh, sorry - I didn't see that. I rarely venture out of the Beginners area.

How sad for you. I think this guy knew a lot about the uke. He seemed to have a great time teaching us too. :)
