Ubass trussrod?

I'm working on building a ubass, comparable in design to the Kala. I was wondering if I should try installing a trussrod in this or not. Doesn't seem like there is much string tension on these instruments, maybe some carbon fiber reinforcment will do. Any thoughts?

It's pretty simple to epoxy in a 1/4"x1/4" carbon fiber rod. the whole process takes about 15 minutes. I install carbon fiber trussrods in all my Tenor Ukes.

I use a 1/8' x 3/8' CF truss rod in all my ukues. Right from soprano through baritone and bass. Cheap insurance and I think helps with note clarity, separation and volume right up the scale.
