Hi UU iPeople,
I have an iPod Touch 4G and want something better than the built-in mono mic. I'm looking at the Fostex AR4I. My main objective, besides a good quality acoustic stereo recording, is that I can still get to a headphone jack for monitoring. I'd prefer the iPod's headphone jack, but one on the interface would be ok I guess. (I'm thinking of latency issues here.) I make a uke track for instance, then listen back to it while recording a vocal track, then sometimes also add hand percussion on another track. I've recorded 5 tracks on a song so far (4, then mixed, and recorded the last 1), and it sounds good. But still all mono recordings b/c the iPod is mono. I'd appreciate any reviews of the AR4I I mentioned, or something else that meets my requirements.
