Was in a junk/flea market this weekend and ran across a Kay soprano in pretty nice condition for $24. Didn't grab it and am now thinking maybe I should have. Opinions.
There's a Kay on the bay <g> right now, has a plastic fretboard and I've got too many ukes already. They do have a good rep for vintage guitars I hear. g2
I wouldn't lose too much sleep over passing on it. I had one from the early 70's or late 60's and it was a dog in every possible way. Intonation was off, the tuners were crap, the bridge was a hulking mass. I'll pass on an old Kay uke every time.
