See you at DaSilva's . . .

James will have to stay home though . . . it's past his bedtime. He asked if he could go to your restaurant (Oasis) and play with you and Aaron again. :)

You need to start carrying a Uke around with you so you can perform instantly when someone (such as myself) accosts you in Quizno's in Kukui Grove. Nice meeting you by the way dude. Hope I didn't scare you too badly when I pointed to you and shouted "ALDRINE!!!!"

Please come to Chicago sometime, Aldrine. You have a ton of fans out here in the prairie. So many of us have learned so much from you. And your NAMM videos where you play your originals at the Kanilea booth are smokin'!

I notice that you sometimes play in string shops and uke maker's places. In Chicago, I think we only have Harmony Ukuleles. They make their own brand of ukuleles, but I think they make them for Sears and JC Penney's, too. Not exactly Kanilea. I think they use painted pine instead of koa.

I've never been to their shop to know if it's clean and all. But, if you are coming out here, I'd scope it out for you. Even if it's in a seedy neighborhood, I'd take the bus there. I probably wouldn't fool with it, though, unless you promised to come out.

If you want to drag Taimane along with you, that'd be wicked keen. She's a great player and I like when she wears masks.

Just got back to our hotel from the sdukefest. Amazing time! Taimane was awesome as usual. We were hanging out with some awesome and funny individuals. Julia Nunes, Danielle Anderson (atethesandwich), Kyle Furusho, and everyone who came by our table! We had a great time and we can't wait Till we come back!

Gotta wake up in four hours to catch a flight to Sacramento. We'll meet up with Craig chee and play at the strum shop!

Till the next update!
(I'll keep posting even though I'm just talking to myself... -_-)

We'll see. It's a little difficult to do something like that unless we had a sponsor or any way to soften the blow with expenses. We'll let you know though. Thanks!

Roseville! You guys were awesome! Sold out show with people hanging out at the door (which I'm sure we violated a few fire codes) great to see new faces and also familiar faces, like our mod kanaka916.

Much Mahalos to Aldie, Aaron and Craig . . . it was great seeing you guys and the show was freakin' awesome . . . Hopefully, this will be sort of a regular stop during the NorCal tour. Talked to some of folks who attended and saw you guys live for the first time. They were very impressed and left the Strum Shop with the satisfaction knowing they witnessed a first class performance. Have fun in Berkeley and pass my regards to Russ and da rest of da gang.

Gary, gonna have to take a raincheck. As I had told Aldrine, I was really looking forward to Berkeley when this first came about. Then I found out they were gonna do the Strum Shop locally. Last night was just awesome, almost three hours of uke. Couldn't have asked for anything better. I think Craig will surprise a whole lot of folks. Enjoy tonight's festivities.

I had a great time as well.

I got there really early and hung out a bit before the show. Mike is very gracious and generous with his knowledge and a great guy to talk to, I learned a lot yesterday.

Craig is a phenomenal player and entertainer. His stories between songs and setting up his songs are entertaining and his style of playing is unique and makes every song his own.

I saw Aldrine and Aaron while on vacation over the summer. They were awesome then . . . they were better last night. IMO Aaron should do a little more singing, freeing up Aldrine to do his Aldrine thing on the uke, but that's just me.

I met people, but unlike Eric, I didn't think to ask for UU usernames. I'm not that smart. But there were a lot of good people and it seems like everyone had a great time. I hope next time they'll come down to San Jose . . . the traffic sucks getting up to Berkeley:)

Oh man! It's been quite busy the past couple days. THANK YOU to all that came to the past couple of shows (Roseville and Berkeley) you guys were awesome and thank you for spending your weeknight with us. Dasilva was awesome as usual and we got to see some new faces and familiar faces (Russ buss, gyosh, Alden, etc) it was a little smaller than the previous times there but it was a Tuesday night and there was another ukulele show going on that night.

The craziest thing happened though. The art director from Pixar attended the Berkeley show and was kind enough to stick around and chat with us. He then invited us to Pixar studios to check it out. So far, that has been one of the coolest highlights of this trip.

I also want to give a huge MAHALO to Laura and Jim Watkins for their hospitality. They went above and beyond to host us at their home and kept us as comfortable as possible. THANK YOU!

Till next update! Aloha
