hey, all... recently did a SBT pickup install on one of my ukes and it ended up feeding back like crazy when plugged in, so i fashioned a "custom" feedback buster out of some mousepad material. it's just 2 circular pieces cut out and slapped together. it's held together by some staples, super glue, and gaffer tape. works pretty well, if i do say so myself :)

if you ever need a similar solution, this is a pretty good/cheap option. i do use it in conjunction with a LR Baggs Para DI, but the sound hole cover provides just a bit more feedback control when used in conjunction with the pre-amp.

very slick, O.... I've been meaning to do something like this for an archtop guitar with traditional f holes that I have..... an old mousepad is a great idea....

thanks, man! sounds like a purty guitar. fyi, my first attempt/iteration was gaffer tape over the soundhole... worked well, but not quite as elegant looking :)
