I have a soprano G String ukulele with the serial number MB 31125. I believe the M refers to it being a soprano. Can anyone tell me what the B stands for? Also I think 31125 refers to the date of manufacture...? Thanks

The MB refers to the individual who crafted the instrument. The first two digits (31) is the number of the unit made. The next two digits (12) indicate the month and the last digit (5) indicates the year it was made. Putting it altogether; it was the 31st instrument made in December of 2005 by MB. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I've since found out that MB stands for Mark Bajet, who built this particular ukulele. He now owns Wai'olu Ukulele.
