This is an original song of mine. It was filmed in up-your-nose vision at an open mike last Saturday. The lyrics were inspired by a stream of consciousness story a friend told once while his partner tuned her guitar. I put it to an old piece of music I'd written in the early '80s.
I like the instrumental parts at the beginning and break in this song because there's a string of suspended chords that resolve to minor chords instead of to the respected major chord. It goes Gsus4 to Bm, Fsus4 to Am, Ebsus4, all while using an open G string as a drone. I had no idea of this when I wrote it, at the time I was just thinking when I make these chord shapes in this order, it sounds good.
