My first one was "The White Sandy Beach", by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole. It's a nice tune and easy to learn.

Wahine Ilikea is a pretty simple song to learn too provided you don't get tongue tied speaking Hawaiian. :p

The "Ukulele of Hawai'i" books start with simple 2 & 3 chord songs in Vol.1 and progress through more challenging songs in Vols. 2 & 3. And the cd's are very well done, I enjoy just listening to them and keep them in my car.

I think hapa Haole songs would be a great start as you would not know how to pronounce the words....
