Tuner peg charm?

I'm sure it's been talked about here, but I couldn't find it using search....

Aldrine sometimes has a little charm of sorts hanging from, or wrapped around, a couple of his tuner pegs. I'm just super curious as to what it is! I've even seen a couple people on youtube vids doing the same thing.
