Pono PB Baritone scale 21 1/2 " ??

Just tried to put a set of Guadalupe strings on my Pono PB and thought the strings were too short. The strings are fine for a standard bari, the scale is 21 1/2 inches, an inch and a half longer than "standard" , almost as long as a tenor guitar??? I believe their new baris are 20 1/2 " scale.
