Does anyone know that musicians get more benefit back if I download the album in iTunes, or just go out and buy their 'real' album? Not sure which way I should go.

If you can buy their music directly from the artist's website, either cd or download, all of the money goes to them. Better still, go to one of their concerts and buy CDs there.

:agree: I try to buy directly from the artist's website whenever I can.

Yes, buying directly from them is usually the best way to give them most of the money you spend. Some while ago I found this diagram here explaining how much money the artists get depending on where you buy it from:

Not sure if really all of that is true, but it is not really a surprise that they don't get a whole lot when selling via big companies like Amazon or Apple.
