i'd hate to say it, but i dont think you should play untill it heals up. Worst case scenario you could injure yourself even more if you try and that healing process may take longer!

hope you get better though

Here is a some inspiration for your stringed instrument innovation.

and also depending which arm is busted you can work on the skills specific to that hand.

Here's another inspiring story. Local boy here in Hawaii. Nick Acosta. Just truly amazing.....its a little way into the video, but Roy Sakuma talks about him.

This is a news story feature, no video on this one though.

Which arm? Full cast? Maybe take up the harmonica for a while.

Wow those guys are inspiring i feel bad now tho - i thought i had it bad but they had it worse and overcame it... really shows the power of music :music:

anyway in answer to deach's question it is my left arm (i'm right handed) and the cast only goes up to the elbow. :(

maybe practice plucking/picking (idk what the right term is haha) while it heals? Thought you wont be playing music.. but ya know, it's good to practice plucking/picking.

My Psych teacher had these guitar and bass plucking things that helped you practice plucking without having your guitar or bass with you. I did a search on them and found this: http://www.freepatentsonline.com/5811704.html

idk if he made it himself but yea they were pretty handy and cool. He let us pluck away during class and such. :)
