I found an old fancy Kumalae uke and decided I would give it a new home, so here I am on the underground. I love koa, I play guitar, I love Hawaii, so it was an easy choice to join the clan and uke out. I am totally new and don't know anything.
My Kumalae has no tuners and I need to find some. I searched the forum and read everything I could find about peghedz and violin pegs and whatnot.
I'm thinking for now I'll go with the tapered wooden pegs. Can you suggest which ones would fit a vintage Kumalae? My repair guy is ace and he will install them but I got to find the right parts. From what I read 3/4 size tapered violin pegs is what I'm after?
This?
Or this?
Maybe this?
So basically....
1. Find vintage uke
2. Get some tuners
3. Strum my way into the hearts of beautiful women
