A new D S Gill mahogany pineapple tenor arrived at my house today. Woohoo. It's truly everything people said it would be. Fantastic.

It's all mahogany with a fretboard and bridge that are quarter sawn walnut. The diamond-shaped shell fret markers, herringbone rosette and end graft add to the beauty of the satin finished body.

The fit and finish are great, very smooth. I love the neck thickness, not too thick, not too think. The sound is very resonant with a clear note definition and a nice full tone, not boxy like some pineapples. This uke is as nice as any K brand or custom.

Here's some pics and a sound sample.

That sounds great. Of course I'm a sucker for mahogany.....
Is the top bookmatched vertically?
