Cool. Great tip. I have a Kala acacia concert uke with a split down the lower bout from the bridge and wouldn't mind getting some glue in there to seal it up. It's a beater uke now after the crack so I got nothing much to loose. Thanks! :)

I recommend everyone to subscribe to the stewmac tips- always good tips like that which are translatable to any woodworking. Alot are something like "lets fix this humbucker", but always a fun little read.

I feel like cracking something so i can test out the suction cup fix :)

For all of you hot-hide-glue-phobics out there, note that Dan works at a reasonable pace with this...no panic. But he does have everything ready to go, so he's not fumbling with anything. It's a very, very good video.

Mahalo Beau,
For sharing the link, never thought of the sucton cup method, sorta like the plunger concept...Great, always nice to see others ways to resolving things...

Hi Everybody,

I agree with Beau the stewmac tips are always a great read
If you missed any issues you they have them all archived on their website

Great tip,
I've got an ovation with two cracks, been trying to figure out a way to some glue in there. Now I just have to find a suction cup around the house somewhere....
