Just ordered a custom uke...

This is a present to me for a 'special' birthday, so it's a long lead time - August 2013.

However, Bryn Munford at http://www.brynmunfordguitars.co.uk/ is making it for me with the following spec : beware, bling warning...

Concert size Purple Yew body, Purple heart fretboard, binding & bridge, gold fleck purling, slotted headstock with inset 18ct mounted Ametrine & citrine jewels at top of headstock!

I said it would be bling

... Can't wait (but I'll have to). Probably not to everyone's taste, but it will be fun.

Yes, I've played a soprano he's made. Beautiful action, so soft. Not sure about pics, unless they are on his site.

Gold leaf purfling?! That's the first time I've ever heard of that. Very cool. And I love citrine. Great gemstone. Be sure to post pics when you get it!
