I'm looking for a song(tab) that just sounds hard. I've been looking through a lot of campanella stuff but I haven't found The One so to speak. the holidays are here and since I only see some of my relatives once a year I want to blow them away. Any ideas?

currently working on Swallowtail* at ukulelesecrets. love that blog

I'll post the tutorial in the next post.

One video per post rule...

If you post your video as a simple link, you can include more than one in a post.

I can do gently weeps decently, but the real fingerbuster is the Bach John King arrangements.

Wow The Big Kahuna thanks a lot! Hadn't even considered that song! Sounds great too on the ukulele. Will be a crowd pleaser for sure ;)

Slowly working out Bohemian Rhapsody for the harp uke. Really weirds people out when I start playing it.

Hi Nixon,

I would love to get more infos from you, maybe even a sound teaser. I play the harp uke too, but never ever thought of playing Bohemian Rhapsody yet.

Cheers,
Linho

Ah sorry, don't want to post offtopic. So here's my top stunner song for normal ukulele: Super Mario in the James Hill version.

You can find the tabs in the net, and it's absolutely awesome. :)

My top stunner song overall is "River Flows In You" played on my harp ukulele. ;)

I have been practicing Larry O'Gaff.

This tab is just for the one song, not the medley. I ended up changing the fingering in one place (measure 21) to make it easier for me.
I am pretty impressed with the King/ Hill performance!

If your relatives are anything like mine you might be better off playing something recognizable over something difficult. If I play the Music Box Waltz that took me a week to master nobody really cares. If I play the Titanic theme song that took twenty minutes people notice.

But of course pushing yourself to learn difficult songs is wonderful. I'm just speaking to your desire to impress your family.

HMS has a lot of impressive stuff on there, from Aaron and Corey noodling around to stuff like this:

The original isn't exactly my musical taste, but it's impressive on a Uke'

Agree...Recognizable songs are the most impressive and enjoyable!!

Orange World by Jake Shimabukuro. That's pretty challenging IMO, since you need both left hand and right hand technique.
