I just stumbled over two cool sites that work in essentially the same way, soundslice.com, which has been online for a while it seems but I have only heard about it now, and you-tab.com, which has been online since today (so its difficult to reach as it got quite popular fast).
What you can do there is make tabs online synchronized to youtube videos! Essentially you search at the site for videos on youtube you want to tab out. Then as the video plays you can make live annotations by clicking buttons on the site interface and tab it out. You of course need to know what the right chords are and when chordchanges happen to do this, pretty much how you would do it on paper yourself.
So far its mostly guitar though, at least as far as I could see on soundslice.com. There are some ukulele songs with annotations, but they don't seem to work right, I could only see the first chord and then no change. You-tab.com doesn't load very well at the moment, so I am not sure if its possible to tab out ukulele songs, but the how to video shows a track setting saying guitar, so you may be able to switch that to ukulele.
So maybe some of you tab makers out there are interested in tabbing out some songs on those sites, would be awesome for the rest of us!
Here are the links to the sites and examples:

http://www.you-tab.com (might be difficult to reach at the moment)

Have fun!
