Upgraded Strings ?

I know that they changed the strings, most likely from standard to better. What kind of strings are standard? and how much different are they than, let's say, Aquila strings?

Because I was looking at a Kala and it said "upgraded to Aquila". It seems like Aquila is the most preferred for a beginner.

Most ukes come standard with Hilo or GHS strings. These are usually dead-sounding and cheap. While there are some people who don't care for Aquilas, most would agree that they are better than the stock strings.

I have a Kala Concert Ukulele with Aquila strings before, but my Aquila strings had worn out so I had to upgrade my strings to a higher tension on the recommendation of my ukulele teacher so now I have D'Addario strings on my ukulele. Sounds way better than Aquila. The string choices are up to you and what you prefer.
