I've been a fan of Mark Kailana Nelson's Finger Picking Uke book for about five yrs and have memorized many of the pieces. Quite a few took a lot of work, but I perservered and am glad I did, someitmes 2 or three wks. to get a piece. Now I'm working with his Juke n the Uke book and I've been struggling with Richland Woman Blues the first wonderful piece. Anyone have any luck?----kimosabe

Hello, I worked for some time in Mark's previous Fingerstyle book. Still trying to get Gaviotas. Didn't know about his new book. Thanks for bringing to my attention.

But, regarding your query, have you seen this? Right from the horse's mouth.

Yes, the video is great but to me seems slightly different from the tab provided and that's what throws me. I think the nature of fingerstyle playing is that one can do it slightly differently each time and that some notes are hardly heard.

Not only does Mark have the Fingersttyle book, he has a slack key book, and a Juke n the Uke book. all great.

So, you've gotten to Gaviotas. You're cooking.
