Aloha. As a new poster and a longtime lurker I've often heard about the great customer service Mim's, Hawaii Music Supply, and Mike at Mainland among others, provide their customers. Now that I've had a taste of what a positive buying experience is like and seen the levels some go to to make sure their customers are happy with their purchase no matter the situation. So kudos to Andrew and HMS ! Now get out there and support your uke specialists ! Christmas is coming !

Welcome to UU. Do I sense a New Uke Day post coming from you soon?

If so, we always love pics of the new arrival!

Hms

Kudos indeed!
I had a very pleasant email correspondence with Andrew, and fast reply as well even though they are very bussy this week!

I can deffinetly reccomend HMS to anyone who's a bit hesitant about ordering online (myself included), you need not to worry ( :

Joyful experience, and how cool is it they provide all those in-store videos and free content out of awesomeness...

Peace

HMS ROCKS! I have only met Aaron and Mike <da younger> and exchanged e-mails with Andrew. Their service is awesome, and their store is great and worth the drive if ever you are on Oahu. I was looking to upgrade my son's soprano from a Makala, and they helped me decide on a Pono Satin. Since I drove rather far and the weather was kinda bad that day, I stayed and looked at the eye-candy ukulele they had...which for a quaint store is ridiculous! They helped different customers as I was making my decision, and I was witness to many examples of their awesome service...from restringing instruments...to demonstrating many different ukulele...to online sales inquiries while I was there...

By the way, Pono ukulele are great for their price, imho!

If you buy ukes at a big box retailer you hate music!

The thing that amazes me about HMS is how fast they get stuff to the mainland, and I'm not just talking about high-dollar purchases of Ukes with special shipping. In fact, I've yet to buy a uke from them (though I bought a few from MGM back when he had his own store - get well soon Mike!). Any-hoozles, I bought some strings from HMS a while back and figured it would at least be a week or two before they showed up here in Texas, it was about four or five days.

I've also purchased from Mim and she is crazy quick - I don't think she sleeps! :)

Thanks to all. It is a new "ukes" day ! I got a Koalana concert and a Kala lacewood tenor to add to the family! HMS rocks! I used to drool over their website when I lived in Rhode Island but hard work and a little luck have brought my family to Oahu ! Only a 20 min drive to HMS ! Life is good !!

John

I begged her to get some sleep a day or two ago.

Good customer service is worth a lot.
