I wasn't going to make one of these threads till I actually had it in my hands. But it's gonna be about 3 more weeks. Onto the pics cuase I know that's why you're really reading this thread!!

Specs you might ask? Super concert. Gilbert slot head tuner (mother of pearl dot with mother of pearl knob). LR Baggs Five.0 pick up (which i had to purchase twice because the first one got lost in the mail to thailand super bummer). Metal Frets. Custom Koi inlay fingerboard. Gloss body with a satin neck, so it would be easier to slide hand up and down the neck. Custom red painted interior.

I have been waiting on this uke since march. So needless to say I'm pretty dang excited. Enjoy these pictures and stay tuned when I actually have it in my hands!!

Also I will be selling my Koaloha Soprano Noah because I will have no more use for it as it was my travel uke, and now this carbon fiber uke will take it's place.

That fretboard looks sweet.

If it sounds half as good as it looks you've got a keeper, Vincent. Congrats.

You'll post a review, yeah?

How much was it for the custom koi inlay on the fretboard? Is Karadoo making a tenor yet?

Bruddah uke42,

Karadoo does make a tenor uke. The maker sells all the various Karadoo uke models on Etsy. Here's the links to the Etsy listings:

The koi inlay i think was around 550? I'd have to double check. The whole thing ran me upwards of 2k including 2 pickup's, the gilbert tuners and then all the customized parts on it and shipping. I'll put up a review once i get my hands on it, but don't expect anything awesome coming out of me, I only play once or twice a week.

Yes, those are gilbert tuners!

Congrats! I must admit to some ignorance on the carbon fiber ukulele situation... but it looks very cool.

I notice you're in Portland. Maybe I'll run into you at busking by the river someday! ;)

Thought I'd revive this thread since

1. There's no review yet (Vinny!)
2. I did a winter hike the other day, and my fellow hikers teased me about bringing a uke. Full disclosure: I'll admit I was pretty fired up for the idea of strumming atop Mt. Chocura in -3 with 50+ knots.

So whattya say, Vinny. Is the Karadoo a keeper?

I have been looking at these. I wonder how the quality is compared to the Black Bird carbon fiber ukes ? The price is much less and they look really nice

I love these carbon fiber ukes! The inlay is amazing too.
