I have to admit I'm rather taken with the pink strings on the black body (though I'd want to paint the rose pink to match).

I wouldn't say "great" reputation, but certainly known to be good value for money and potential great players with a bit of tweaking.

Can't really say the same about the ukes.. the coloured strings are.. well useless. They're not proper strings.. they're thin strings of plastic with the texture that feels like candle wax.

I would change the strings right away.

Other than that, you're looking at a quality level similar to the cheap Mahalo ukes.
Playable, but at the very bottom of ukulele quality levels.
