Here's a video I uncovered on one of my less well-known YT channels. It has a festive flavour. In the Bleak Mid-Winter is a really well-known Christmas carol in the UK.

Here's an improv based on it, (sort of) in the style of the great George Shearing.

Can't watch it right now. Is it the Holst setting or the Harold Darke? Both are lovely!

I didn't now, Alan. I had to look it up. It is the tune Cranham by Holst. It is the only tune that is popular in the UK. I wasn't sure whether it was known in the US though. The words are, of course, by Christina Rosetti.
