Petey decided to tackle the USSR – that is the mysterious Ukulele Split-Stroke of Russia in a somewhat longish tutorial video of the Russian/Soviet song "Katiusha" at the request of a YouTube uke player. Petey normally wouldn't do a video for one person but upon meditating on the "spunky/bouncy" playing technique that he did in his video 2.5 years ago, he was a bit intrigued and revisited the song and explained all. In proper English and Russian of course! hehehe

another wonderful video petey. Very nice work and well edited, explained and demonstrated.

Great breakdown. I don't know when I'm going to use this USSR in a new song... but I know I will ;)

Yup, you have a gift. Well done.

Thanks. I was just having a bit of fun figuring out how I played that song. I realized there are a number of different things going on so I might as well put it down so I won't have to explain it again. hehe

Also, I've been procrastinating doing my Martin 2 tenor review.
