Looking for lessons in the NYC area. Interested in the jazz/chord melody style. Does anyone know of a teacher that could help? Maybe someone on UU that lives in the area could get me started? Thanks Doug

I stumbled across this guy, Chris White, and he has some great stuff up on YouTube and a very interesting web site. He teaches guitar and Uke in NYC. Check it out and Merry Christmas!

Hi

I'm from NYC and the lessons are expensive and I've given up completely learning formally because in this economy its not going to happen. But there are ukulele meet ups every two weeks in Chelsea and apparently also in Brooklyn. I've yet to go to one here but it helps to get some pointers from people and use YouTube and websites to supplement the learning.
