This a Soprano with QLD Maple back and sides,Sitka Spruce sound board,Mahogany neck, bone nut and saddle,Aquilla strings and finished with tung oil based finish.

Nice bit of maple you got there. Hard to find good figure in large boards now, but thankfully soprano's don't take much.

For the non Aussie's, this isn't a maple like you are accustomed to. It's the common name for Flindersia brayleyana, a tree native to North Queensland where I live. Similar working properties to mahogany.

This is Queensland maple. no colouring required. Allen gives good reference to the proper name and has a link there as well. i`m pretty happy with the sound. thanks

The uke was built for a country duo called Sister Burley and they gave it to Jamie Dunn who is Agro. pretty wrapped about. Thanks Liam
