I need some help choosing which strings to use out of a classical guitar set for my baritone uke. I can't seem to grasp the whole scale/tension/note theory and have confused myself even worse with to much research. I guess the saying is "paralysis through analysis".

I want to stay in standard linear DGBE (3w4w) tuning. I bought a set that includes an of E-.029, B-.034, G-.041, D-.029, A-.034, E-.042. I guess I can go 1E,2B,4D(for G),5A(for D) but would E and B be to slack with the shorter scale length? Or would it be better to go with 2 thru 5 in larger diameters, or 1,2,5,6?

I did a search and found a lot of specifics like this on the tenors, but not much out there yet for baritones.

I think the default answer is to use the first four (thinnest) strings in order first and see how it works. Only if this doesn't work would I consider something else. I cant see the wound E and A strings working properly on a ukulele anyway.
