I know it's overdone. Everyone has played this 1930 composition by Hoagy Carmichael and Stuart Gorrell, but I couldn't resist trying it myself. Here 'tis, despite me leaving off the excellent verse.
Wonderful as always! You are rapidly becoming one of the people I would most like to be able to play like. And your singing is brilliant. *dreamy sigh* (Ok, just kidding about the dreamy sigh...)
Wonderful playing and singing and whistling, John! For me, it evokes a great era of music in America. I could imagine a muted trumpet playing in the background with you.
John, that was heavenly! Another sublime performance, you should be such a big star! And it's great to see you singing and playing again after the big storm. That just hit the cheering-up spot for me... and I'm going to play it again. My I post you-know-where? Lesley
Thank you SO much. Sure, you can post it, with my compliments. I haven't been posting because I had three gigs before the holidays, which kept me very busy. Thankfully, I was able to use two of the songs in two of the gigs.
