It took a while, 3 months to be exact, but it arrived today, my Anuenue Lani III tenor.

Body | Koa
Neck | Mahogany
Fingerboard | Rosewood
Binding | Maple
Bridge | Rosewood
Nut & Saddle | Tusq
Machine Head | Grover 9N STA-TITE
Finish | Matte Open Pores
Labelled as made in China.

Looks gorgeous, koa laminate, with the maple bindings, and the little petraglyphs dancing around the sound hole. Understated bling.
Not had a proper play yet, but seems to be sharp on the 12th fret, dealer appears to have 'checked' the uke but not set it up! My only dissapointment so far.

First strums seems to sound so diferent to my Kala travel concert, more mellow and laid back, less 'jangly'

Looking forward to spending time learning to play this, first thrash will be this Sunday evening, can't wait!

Photo's to follow.

Looking forward to photos. I have heard nothing but good things about those.

Congrats on the new uke.

No heavy duty playing until Sunday??? must be a killer for you!

When I searched about Anuenue, I only found 1 negative comment, from about 4 years ago.
General consensus seemed to be perfect build and intonation.
I also wanted something left field, not too many of them, I believe the UK distributor gets about 1 shipment a year from Anuenue, this shipment had 6 Lani III tenors.
Anyway, some pics.
