I am an artist who found the Polkalaylee at a flea market & did my polymer work on it. This actually is an instrument that was given as a premium from Polk Brothers, an appliance and electronics chain in the Chicago area that is no longer in business. But Polk Bros. (I'm giving my age away) was the store that anyone would go to if they needed anything. This piece measures about 54 inches long with the hanger. It was one of my 1st pieces when I began playing with found objects. I just re-did it wanting more detail. So it has detail! These are yesterday's pix before it was finished!
