Up until now, I have done all of my thickness sanding on a drum sander that I made to fit my older Shopsmith 10er. This sander (shown in the picture) includes a 12 inch drum made from plywood discs, an adjustable table that securely mounts on the ways of the Shopsmith, and a dust hood with a 4" connection. It is hand fed.

I recently came across a great deal on a used Performax 10-20 that needed a bit of work. I now have it up and running and it seems to be working fine.

My shop is really small and I've decided that the old sander needs to go. If you live near Cincinnati and have an old Shopsmith or think you might be able to use the old sander parts, just send me a pm. I'd prefer not to mess with shipping, but we can think that through.
