Whenever I buy a uke, I like to make a sound sample in case someone is thinking of buying that brand. Well, I was asked by two luthiers if they can post my videos. I am on facebook from one of the makers and on a website with another.

If I knew they were going to post my video, I would have only posted a perfect one but then again, if they told me it was going to be posted, I would have made more mistakes! Isn't it tough playing in front of a camera? AAARRRGGGHH!!

Thanks, I can't even tell friends and family as I'm afraid people will find out how much I spend on a hobby...At least my UU family understands. :p

Daniel your playing is a delight to hear.
That is very cool to be featured as a player on both of those sites!

There is no such thing about being worthy but having a passion for the ukulele...I think Chuck and luthier likes it when they see people play their instruments and enjoy it.

Look at Jon, he has such joy playing any uke that they all sound good.

Very cool, Daniel.... they're wonderful videos - the playing and the sound quality are great. A win-win situation - you get great ukuleles and the builders get your business and support - true aloha....

Congrats, Daniel.

Hey, earning a few sheckles back from the luthiers ain't so bad...Lord knows you have sent enough dough the other way. Lol.

Maybe this can become a permanent gig for you. You know, quit the day job sort of thing.

HAHA...That's pretty funny! Are you trying to make me quit so I struggle and can't afford to pay the mortgage? If that happens, I'll have to sell all my ukes! LOL

Dan, you are one special guy—a fine player and a sharing UU member, and you deserve that incredibly beautiful uke (the headstock is astonishing). No, none of us care what it cost you because the uke in the right hands.

Your playing on it is mesmerizing. I wish you years of joy with it.

Great job! You sounded great. Gotta learn that old timey song "Ain't nobody's business but my own/what I do" (seen it both ways depending on who recorded it) for when somone asks you how much you spend on ukes. http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www.guitaretab.com/c/clapton-eric/3425.html?1944-06-06=always&transpose=&tuning=GCEA

Bill, I finally used the Zoom H2N and used Windows Movie Maker to sync the viedeo and audio. I did not use Audacity as it's a little more complicated than what I liked. If I sang as well as you, I would have gotten the Zoom H4N, which has a XLR Mic input and Yes, I will have a cuppa of tea!! HAHA

For those, who don't have one but like to make videos, especially for the Seasons of the Ukulele, getting a digital recorder is a great investment to improve the sound quality.

Ginny, good luck in your search for the Collings UT-1 Haircut Headstock...I see one on FFM.

again, Daniel, this uke is unreal.

Thank you. Personally, I still prefer the sound of spruce over koa. I believe even Rick says that he likes other woods as well but when he wants to market his CR, he brings the koa. Chuck's uke is a great balance of aesthetics and sound. Now, if I got a spruce top from Chuck, wow!! Stan and RichM have the Chuckie Spruce so they are lucky guys!!

Great videos, wonderful playing! I have to admit, though, that I can't look at the Moore Bettah video without wondering why that ukulele isn't mine. :)

No CR for me...That was one I was considering as well as the Graziano as I was looking into a Bari. However, I held off hoping to get a MBU! Now no money so I will have to wait a little to build up the funds again. Of course, if I trade the MBU for a CR & Graz, then that seems like a good deal...Any takers? HAHAHA Just Kidding!!

Mark, I really hope you get one!
