Lanikai LU-21CEK or S-T? Originally, I was thinking the S-T, but for another $29 I can have the CEK that has electronics.

29 dollars is almost nothing to have the capability of plugging in. Unless you don't like the looks of the electronics, I would recommend getting the upgrade at that price (even if you don't anticipate using it).
