Arrived today from Clifford Essex Music.

Came all setup (fitted with their own Medium Gauge strings, which I know nothing about) and complete with the case, which is pretty decent.

The action is really nice (at least to my untrained eye/fingers it is) and it sounds great.....

Congrats! Been wondering about them. I recommended one to someone last week from their shopping list....a great buy for an all solid mahogany uke with a case and full setup. Like to hear it. Would benefit from a bone saddle some time in the future when you get brave.

It was my shopping list :p - and (at £110 delivered), I reckon I got a decent deal.

The strings will need a while to stretch, but so far, I'm loving it. It's certainly a huge step up from my Mahalo, not to mention a big difference in tone and overall feel......

Now to practice some more till I finally feel brave enough to record something that would be worth listening to...... :D

I'm getting the same uke in a couple of days, and i'm very excited. I just couldn't turn down the opportunity to get a solid concert uke at such a low price :).

I'm glad to hear that you a very pleased with your Aria :). I would love to hear more about your experience with the uke! That way i will know what to look forwarrd to.

All I can compare it with is my Mahalo soprano - and it's just streets ahead on all fronts!

The action is superb (how much was 'out of the box' and how much is down to the shop setup, I couldn't tell you), the tone is a good bit deeper and far more 'guitar like' than the soprano, which makes for a nice contrast. It resonates really nicely and just sounds like a 'proper' instrument'.

Having said all that, I'm a complete novice, so I might be talking out of my rear end (wouldn't be the first time), but I reckon you'll be pleased with it - although I'd be happy to hear your experiences too......

:D

Congrats! Love the way the fretboard is shaped on the end...unique!
