Pocket uke gcea

Greetings!

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with tuning a Kala pocket uke to gcea? I currently have Martin fluorocarbons on mine and while the sound is great, when I tune it to gcea it sounds like I'm slapping a dead fish while standing on a cats tail.

It's probably because my technique is sloppy and my hands are gigantic, but still. It has to be possible with the right set/gauge of strings, no?

Try tuning up an octave to high D tuning (ADF#B) and I think some people also go to F tuning (CFAD) but I've never tried it myself.
