Hi all. I was looking for a ukulele to build and decided to go with Bradfords Youthalele design. Although I have never built an instrument before I decided to modify the design a bit. Essentially all I'm doing is building a traditional head at about a 15 degree angle and losing the zero fret concept. Everything else is per instructions. This has added some time to my build but, that's okay. I am still recovering from surgery so I need something low key to do and occupy my time. Here is how it is going so far.
Still need to do some ruffing out on the neck and then final sand it. Add the finger board (I'm frightened about being just a bit off when I cut for the frets) Saddle and nut and tuners. I've promised this one to my son.
