I guess not many look at the Tech forum. I'll try here:

One tuner on my Kamaka Concert is sticky. The others are nice and smooth, easy to tune.

Is there a way to lube it or smooth it out somehow?

Thanx!

Part of the problem is that you need to provide more info. What kind of tuners? Can you precisely describe what is happening?

My response to your first post is accurate if your "sticky tuner" includes that slight "crack" sound and a barely perceptible string "jump." It's most likely your nut and not the tuner. The other person offered you an accurate solution too, if you have the type of tuner he showed you with a picture.

People on UU are always willing to help a fellow uker out, just need more info than you provided.

Okay sorry. It is a new Kamaka tuner as in the posters photo. The string does not appear to be sticking at the nut. I have adjusted the tension on the tuner. It is just sticky, not smooth like the other three.

Your right, this belongs in tech support. I'll post there.
