Total n00b tenor tuning question

If you are using a Snark to get a low g tenor in tune, will it work? I mean, is a G a G regardless? It seemed to sound OK, but I don't trust my ears yet.

I realize this is probably a silly question, but I tried to search for an answer and failed.

I don't have a Snark I use a different tuner, but yes, a G is a G ........ and it's not a silly question, don't worry! Good luck with it!

I have a Snark. The Snark will help you tune to G, but will not tell you which octave G you are tuning too.

when you're not sure about your tuning results simply doublecheck by "tuning" the uke to itself.
