Can you guys tell me if the Lanikai CK-T Koa tenor ukulele is a good choice for a step up from a Oscar schmidt OU2 concert? Im able to get a hold of one for $135 tax and all paid brand new at a local store. It's an overstocked item and a friend of mine that works there is cutting me a deal. I know these retail for $240 brand new just about everywhere I look online. Should I go for it? Will it still have a decent sound for being laminated koa? Any advice would be great.

I've played a couple of these before and I liked how they played and sounded. Considering the price that you are going to be able to get and the other Ukes that are around that same price range I would definitely get it. It's not going to sound like a Solid Koa Uke, but it will sound pretty. Hope that helps

Thanks for the advice. I think I should be happy with it, and considering the price I could always sell it on ebay for at least what I paid. I'll probably be going down to pick it up this weeked.
