I see these popping at several online stores, but so far I haven't read any reviews. Is there anybody here whom actually tried or bought one of these?

I believe it's called G9112.

Also curious how this one is compared to the Kala resonator. Somehow the Gretsch looks nicer to me.

Hadn't seen these yet, what are they fetching? Not a big fan of the burst on some of the Kalas. Like the looks of this one too. And the pegs.

(Is that early Tony-the-T? That image is really familiar to me somehow)

Here is UkesterBrown doing a demo with the Kala concert resonator. Sounds really good, and Mim has 'em in stock. Pretty tempting, but I think the Gretsch looks better because of the tuners.
I'm looking forward to some reviews of both brands. The prices seem reasonable.

Yea,the
gretsch is $250 shipped at the online stores, avail March 18?. laminate hog, but it may be less important in a resonator.

I've owned a few Kalas, and currently my main tenor is a Gretsch solid-mahogany top tenor.

I can immediately say that the Gretsch are a cut above the Kalas in build quality.
I think this resonator would be an awesome instrument!
