My dad will pretty much take me to any uke related meetup in the USA. So I have to take advantage of this critical moment :) What meetups or festivals should I go to and what players should I see!

Ukulele World Congress

If you can ever time a trip to the big island with it and go to Chuck Moore's workshop. I can imagine it would be quite a nice time, and worth the effort.

No need to go very far... these are festivals near you:
Wine Country- http://winecountryukefest.com/
19th 'Ukulele Festival of Northern California - http://www.ukulelefestivalnorcal.org/
Reno Uke fest- http://renoukefest.com/

Of course, I would love to attend any of them in Hawaii or the UWC

Since Nocal is close, your dad should take you to those without counting...I would go to Hawaii as you can make it a vacation and go to all the factory tours. I'm here now and you can't beat the weather. I hear about the UWC but it sounds like you gotta rough it. Also being Asian, I need comfort food and I don't know if I could get it easily.

Electrauke, please film all these road trips to festivals. Like Bosko and Honey Road Trip 2008. Please.

Mighty Mo.

The Milwaukee fest is supposed to be pretty bangin.

Mighty uke day in Michigan is still fairly small.

Find one of Jim D'Ville's workshops near you. There's a two day event in Angelus Oaks, California May 17-19. Is that near you?

If you can't get to one I would highly recommend getting his first two DVD's
