North Carolina Groups?

Hey Aaron,
I'm fairly plugged in to the Uke community here in Durham. I can connect you to the organizer of our Uke group as well as the owners of High Strung who has a small music school and often set up workshops. There are a couple of people who regular host house concerts in the Durham/Chapel Hill area who I can also connect you to.

If you are going towards the coast, you should also get in contact with Kent at Aloha U. He often sponsors concerts and workshops.

Hi Arron-I own the the North Carolina Ukulele Academy in Wilmington and would love for you to come by and give a concert and workshop. Please send me (Kent) an email: learn@AlohaU.com

High Strung in Durham is in process of moving to a new location and may be topsy turvy and not immediately responsive to your offer. http://highstrungdurham.com/
They usually are though, and likely will welcome you. I attended a Jim d'Ville workshop there.

You'll be well treated at N.C. Uke Academy in Wilmington, which is a 2.25-hour drive from Durham. (Nice beach too.)

Aloha Kent
Would've liked to visit NC ukulele Academy while in CB.
Ended up spending the last week visiting at NHRMC.
Heading back to NY today. Looking forward to playing my gorgeous G string Sun Concert again. Will try to catch you next time in NC.

I live in Charlotte but unfortunately do not know of any groups in the area. I'd love to find some people to play with and to watch play. :/
there is a small group that was started in Fort Mill not too long ago, Brandon, not sure if they are still going, we still need to fill Mim's vacuum.

Hey Aaron, I'm one of the organizers for the group in Charlotte/Fort Mill (www.charlotteuke.com). Happy to help you, just let me know.
Jim
