So I was looking through the koolau website at some of the instruments I can't afford and then went and looked at the page for my pono mt. The address for the page is http://koolauukulele.com/the-schmucks/ !!!

Most of the instruments there have urls that look normal, but partway down the list they just start to get weird. I guess I should have bought the Mahogany Soprano Deluxe as the address for that page is http://koolauukulele.com/amazing-things-will-happen/

That's hysterical. "Kibsgaard-identity"? "nest-thermostat"? Hey, Andrew, help us out here!

I really didn't want another soprano but... this one is http://koolauukulele.com/organic/

I mean... really... It's ORGANIC!

:D

(bored web designer??) Edit: nope - overworked web designer ;)

I suspect the site is based on a template and when they populated it they just used the sample that came with the template and forgot to update some of the item names.

It's a pretty hilarous example of something that bites people all the time, though; basically a variation of the dreaded "cut'n'paste error.".

Being a pono guitar owner, I'd consider myself happy to own even a "Schmuck".
It's a bit like calling a great guy an 'Oldephart'-names really do not matter.

Ha!

I think my favorite is "liquipel clear coating" for the MBD. :D

It's the URL MGM...aka the page address.

It looks like a disgruntled webpage designer ploy.

Ok, ok. You guys know I wouldn't do that. But when I got a wordpress theme /template, I used some of their products and just changed images and description. Apparently I didn't change the URL preset. Crazy though, the products were electronics or something like that. There's a geek somewhere laughing to himself.
I did that whole site in my free hours, midnight-4ish. Pretty bad, but I wasn't disgruntled. Maybe braindead. :wallbash:
