Vespers - Flower Flower

Saw these guys while channel surfing last night. Lively, talented, just different enough. They use a ukulele with some of their bluegrass.

Great band got to see them live in a small coffee shop that was owned by a church. The group is very talented and they use Ukulele in a couple of their songs. The cool thing about the band is that the can all play multiple instruments. The lead singer played Ukulele, banjo, and guitar all while singing and switching instruments with her sister. The rhythm section was pretty sweet as well. The two brothers would switch playing guitar, drums, bass, and mandolin. If you get a chance listen to their album on spotify or youtube.

I've since watched several of their YouTube videos and came away with high regard for their talent. They do a good job of mixing the instruments within a given song. Nothing overpowers, it all works well.

Interesting that it's two brothers and two sisters.

I first spotted them on a PBS show called "Bluegrass Underground."
