I've got a Mainland soprano and a Kala concert. . . and I guess it all shows me that I like thick-necked ukes.

Who are the uke makers who make thick necked ukes?

I have a Kelii tenor that has a thicker, chunkier neck than my other tenors. I'm a big fan of Kelii ukes...the "other" K brand

Pono has more of a "U" shaped neck.

As for the tenor, Kanilea has the thickest among the 4ks. Follow by kamaka, koolau...the slimmest is koahola.

Cheers.

Most Brüko models. Gretsch G9120-SM has one hefty neck.

Covered Bridge necks are pretty chunky iirc.
