well, to cap off a shaky week, while attempting to change some settings on my stupid google+ a/c, I somehow managed to delete my yootoob channel. yep, 270+ songs gone in the press of one button. aaaah amazing. i hate computers, don't think i'l ever get the hang of it. anyway, just wanted to let anyone subscribed to the channel know about it.

fwiw I just created another one. it's this: http://www.youtube.com/user/timbuktoobaloo

I've got some stuff still on the computer so I'll re-upload some things over the next few weeks. :(

good idea Denise, hadn't even thought of that. i will, yeah, thanks mate

cheers Jim. i don't even know how I did it...trhe couple of times i'd been into settings in the past I got confused as well...i couldn't even work out how to start a 2nd channel with me and fiona's stuff on it. shouldn't be surprised given my technological delinquency i guess

Certainly not a perfect analogy, Jon, but your plight made me think of it nonetheless:

"ONE evening there came into his soul the desire to fashion an image of The Pleasure that Abideth for a Moment. And he went forth into the world to look for bronze. For he could think only in bronze. But all the bronze of the whole world had disappeared, nor anywhere in the whole world was there any bronze to be found, save only the bronze of the image of The Sorrow that Endureth For Ever. Now this image he had himself, and with his own hands, fashioned, and had set it on the tomb of the one thing he had loved in life. On the tomb of the dead thing he had most loved had he set this image of his own fashioning, that it might serve as a sign of the love of man that dieth not, and a symbol of the sorrow of man that endureth for ever. And in the whole world there was no other bronze save the bronze of this image. And he took the image he had fashioned, and set it in a great furnace, and gave it to the fire. And out of the bronze of the image of The Sorrow that Endureth For Ever he fashioned an image of The Pleasure that Abideth for a Moment."

Ah Man
I was having a wee heart attack when I saw that your site Said
' this channel no longer exists. '
I am glad it was something that can be fixed.
Man oh man this wee heart can slow down now.

that's a grand, grand passage Connor. thanks for the shared wisdom. :eek:ld: (and the reality check)

no, I did it the other way around, I deleted my google+ account for reasons of me trying to control my privacy better. I was worried I'd been putting too much info out there on the net. i thought I did what was asked - that is, disconnect/unlink the youtube thing from the google+ thing first, as I had my own email plus the one they automatically give you by default as a google a/c holder...was worried about having to many computer accounts etc and trying to be more minimal...sorry if this is totally confusing, it's cause my brain hurts. i still don't understand what i did wrong mate. Bottom line is, I did wrong. Obviously when I pressed the delete button for google, I hadn't followed the steps correctly beforehand. sheez, i need to get to bed earlier...

OMG! NO Jon!! I hope it can be retrieved fully! All your hard work over the years!! Fingers & Toes crossed!!! I'd be tossing the F word in, too!!

But everything happens for a reason, when we beat ourselves up on it, we fail to see the oppurtunities!
Maluhia!
