What am I Getting Myself Into!?

So I was just messing around on my uke and I accidentally found a chord progression I really liked. So I messed around with it some more and I thought that maybe I could refine it, add some lyrics and make an original song. Now I don't want to disappoint myself seeing as I've never thought about song writing and I haven't been playing too long so I'd like some opinions. Do you think I could/should do it?! Here's what it would sound like if I did it.

I do the same thing. Half of what I do is pure noodling.

Thanks a lot! Yeah I was just barring random frets and I came up with the beginning of that and just added more, very cool. And that's exactly what I was looking for, and island paradise sounding song. I was trying to learn one that was already made, but to no avail. So I unintentionally made my own haha.
