Greetings pickers, does anyone have one of these and care to comment on it. How similar in sound and price (used) to an old Martin taro patch? How difficult to keep in tune (I am constantly retuning my old Martin tiple (a hassle but worth it)? Any general thoughts? I'd like to buy an 8 string if it has a unique sound. Normally I'd just wait for a Taro Patch because I so love those old Martins, but the last one sold for $1500 on the bay and was pretty beat up. Any comments appreciated e.g. new vs. vintage, etc. TIA, g2

IMO all 8 strings have a unique sound. I had a Kamaka white label 8 ,which wasn't difficult to tune, I just used a pick , or fingernail. the tuners on mine were't the best,or maybe mine were just worn out.I have nothing to compare it to but my Lanikai 8, which really isn't bad, but I'm sorry I sold my Kamaka. I'd get a new one if they weren't so pricey.
